-If someone has informed you of their preferred form of address, use that form of address. This may include, but isn’t limited to: nicknames, pronouns, pronunciation, and titles.
-Children ten years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
-Please do not use profanity or offensive language. You may be asked to leave at the sole discretion of Critical Hit Games staff for any derogatory, abusive, or foul language. You will be asked to leave if your language constitutes hate speech.
-Use your indoor voice. Please do not scream, yell, or make excessively loud noise. Please wear headsets if you choose to listen to music while gaming.
-Do not use speaker phone while making calls in the shop.
-No smoking or vaping of anything is allowed inside Critical Hit Games. If you smoke or vape outside the building, please stand twenty-five or more feet from our doors, windows, and vents.
-Players are expected to maintain an acceptable level of personal hygiene. If you haven’t taken a shower or washed your clothes in a while, we may ask you to leave and do so.
-Critical Hit Games prohibits carrying of weapons, concealed or otherwise, by all persons other than on-duty law enforcement officers.
-We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. However, any reports of theft, of either store or personal property, will be investigated and, if necessary, prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
-Outside food and beverages are allowed on a limited basis. We allow you to bring in lunch or dinner but ask that you purchase your snacks and refreshments from us to support the game space.
-We believe that our clientele has the right to participate in events and shop without interference by outside salespeople, as such absolutely no person-to-person sales or solicitation are permitted.
-Trading is allowed, so long as both players consent and agree. Players shall not use trades to take advantage of or deceive inexperienced players. Any player involved in a trade may request that staff confirm the value or authenticity of any items to the best of their ability.
-Be respectful of our venue. Clean up after your games, inform staff if a mess requires additional cleaning or if things like paper towels run out. Please pick up after yourself and leave the game space as clean and neat as you found it.
-Do not handle decorative display items.
-Observing an illegal activity and not reporting it immediately to Critical Hit Games staff is a violation of the Code of Conduct. We ask that you tell us about any illegal activities involving actions in our stores or at our events.
-Support your store! We offer our services to you for free, and we cover the cost through sales. Please consider this when shopping.
-Critical Hit Games is dedicated to providing a safe, fun gaming experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. All clientele, staff and participants at events are expected to treat others with respect. Physical and verbal harassment and sexual assault will not be tolerated. If someone engages in harassing behavior in the shop or at other Critical Hit Games-run events, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from a paid event with no refund, temporary or permanent bans, and in some cases, involving the police.
-All players participating in events should feel safe, and feel their property is safe.
-The use of drugs, tobacco, and/or alcohol is prohibited in all store events.
-If a player inadvertently breaks a rule during a game and becomes aware of the error before their opponent or a judge, that player should make the opponent and the judge aware of the misplay.
-Players, visitors, and observers shall not place wagers on play or the outcome of any games.
-Be considerate of shoppers in our retail space.
-It is not a player’s responsibility to make plays for any other player, and in many tournaments it is explicitly against the rules. Discussing strategies, offering tips, or constructively critiquing game play decisions must wait until after a match has been completed.
-Proxy cards are not allowed in official play. Proxy cards may be used within reason in unofficial casual play events; however, any player may disallow proxy cards at their table without explanation or repercussion, and it is the responsibility of those with proxy cards to find another table or play a deck without proxy cards.
-All players are expected to conduct themselves in a fair, honest, and respectful manner. Sometimes games can be more competitive in nature but good sportsmanship is always expected. Bullying, hazing, inappropriate physical contact, discriminatory or derogatory language, intimidation, cheating, and/or any other type of harassment behavior or poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated at any level.
-Critical Hit Games reserves the right to ask anyone to leave at any time without compensation or prizes and may at our sole discretion prohibit you from future events.
-Conduct that does not follow these guidelines or causes anyone else to not want to participate, observe, shop, or be at Critical Hit Games will not be allowed.
-Any additional rules or guidelines from the play organization, tournament organizer, or creator of a game or tournament not covered here must also be followed for those events.
-By entering Critical Hit Games you agree to abide by this code of conduct. We reserve the right to change, alter, or modify the Critical Hit Games Code of Conduct at any time for any reason.
